This project was developed on a paid basis for an organisation named Schweizer Jugend forscht (organises youth science fairs) and has Copyright. These pages are for information purpose only.

DESCRIPTION

The goal was to implement an Address Database Application for ca. 10'000 addresses. The following features had to be implemented as user-friendly as possible: Merge Mail, Address Import into Word, Label printing, predefined list generation. It was found that the possibilities offered by native MS Office (95) were not sufficient or too complicated.

LOOKING BACK

The project consisted of identifying the customer's needs, implementing them, documenting the application and finally to introduce it and train the user on-place. These goals have been met to the clients satisfaction and the system is still in use.

An additional feature (storing donations associated to addresses and generating statistics about them) was not accepted and turned out to be easier with a simple Excel table which had been used for years already.
