Tips: Strange behaviour / no results in submitting forms & "search" - Incorrect "charset" settings can cause unpredictable results when form input is processed

Check the "language" settings in "Extras-Web Properties" (German version: Extras-Webeinstellungen). The value for "HTML encoding" should be set to "US/Western Europe" or "none".

If your forms and search pages behave strangely, just experiment with different values for the encoding, as the behaviour of the server-side components might depend on server-side configuration you might not be able to access or change.
